Description

These Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers combine fresh spinach and creamy feta cheese, elevating turkey patties into a flavorful and nutritious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh spinach (finely chopped)
  • 3/4 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 1 large sweet onion (grated)
  • 1 egg (whisked)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, finely chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, grated onion, whisked egg, minced garlic, basil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently mix everything together until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  3. Shape the mixture into burger patties, aiming for about 4-6 per pound of turkey.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the burgers for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Remove from heat and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh toppings like sliced tomatoes and lettuce. Whole-grain buns or a low-carb option with greens work well. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
