Description
A delightful pasta dish featuring tender chicken thighs cooked in a sticky, smoky garlic butter sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 8 oz penne or linguine pasta
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and then drain the rest.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, along with optional red pepper flakes for a hint of heat. Cook the chicken in the skillet, allowing it to develop a golden-brown crust, typically about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring to coat the chicken. Let this simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the chicken in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water gradually until everything is well-coated and luscious.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for an extra touch of flavor.
Notes
Don’t rush the chicken to ensure a great crust. Experiment with herbs for added flavor.
