Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (canned or fresh)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated or minced)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced, optional)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
  • Green onions (for garnish, optional)


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix together pineapple chunks, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  3. Add bell pepper if using.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce. Serve over rice or noodles.
