Description

Deliciously sticky teriyaki chicken wings, glazed with a sweet and savory sauce, perfect for any gathering or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup pineapple juice
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 3 pounds chicken wings or drumettes

Instructions

  1. Whisk water, soy sauce, sugar, pineapple juice, vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger together in a large glass or ceramic bowl until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add chicken wings and toss to evenly coat.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease baking dishes, setting them aside.
  5. Remove chicken wings from the marinade, shake off excess, and place them into prepared baking dishes. Discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Bake wings in the preheated oven until cooked through and glazed evenly, about 1 hour. Ensure internal temperature reads at least 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for a few minutes at the end of baking. Consider doubling the marinade for larger gatherings.
