Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken coated in a rich teriyaki sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve the chicken topped with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes. Serve over rice or with vegetables.
