  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder (5 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder (5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika (2 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt (2.5 grams)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper (1 gram)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper (1 gram)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey (85 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice (30 milliliters)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped fresh parsley (8 grams)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken pieces.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, melt the butter over low heat.
  8. Stir in the honey and lemon juice until well combined.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the butter sauce.
  10. Cook the chicken in the sauce for another 5 minutes until fully cooked and tender.
  11. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the chicken.
  12. Serve hot directly from the skillet.

Notes

  • Use olive oil instead of butter for a healthier dish.
  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level.
  • Add extra lemon juice for a burst of freshness.
