Description

A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken breasts topped with a creamy sauce and melted jack cheese, reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse’s classic.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded jack cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear the chicken until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side.
  3. Add minced garlic and paprika to the skillet, stirring for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, letting it simmer gently while scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Top each chicken breast with shredded jack cheese.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese bubbles and turns golden.
  7. Let the chicken rest for five minutes before serving.

Notes

For optimal results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Freshly shredded jack cheese melts better than pre-shredded varieties.
