Description
A flavorful and aromatic dish featuring chicken stir-fried with fresh basil and spicy chilies, served over jasmine rice.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2-3 Thai chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Cooked jasmine rice, for serving
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and sliced Thai chilies. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Cook for another minute.
- Add fresh basil leaves and stir until wilted.
- Serve hot over cooked jasmine rice.
Notes
For a sweeter profile, slightly increase the sugar. If the dish is too spicy, serve with jasmine rice to balance the heat.
