Description
A comforting and delicious dish featuring twisted pasta, tender chicken, and a creamy honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 8 oz rotini pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt and black pepper.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken. Cook for about 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter along with the minced garlic in the same skillet. Sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey and soy sauce, allowing it to cook until bubbling.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it simmer for 2–3 minutes until well coated and glossy.
- Cook the rotini in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, reserving 1 cup of the pasta water before draining.
- Warm the heavy cream in another pan over medium-low heat. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth, adding reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Toss the cooked rotini in the Parmesan sauce until fully coated.
- Plate the pasta, topping it with the honey garlic chicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
