Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¾ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 whole grain burger buns
- Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, or avocado
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, garlic powder, onion powder, shredded cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined; using your hands is the best way.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and internal temp reaches 165°F.
- Toast burger buns in a separate pan until golden.
- Assemble each burger with a cooked patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun and add preferred toppings before covering with the top half of the bun.
