Ingredients

  • – 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter
  • – 1/4 cup (30 g) all-purpose flour
  • – 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
  • – 2 eggs – well beaten
  • – 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • – 1 can (432 g) whole kernel sweet corn – drained
  • – 1 can (420 g) cream-style sweet corn
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a saucepan, gently warm the butter over medium-low heat, swirling the pan until it melts completely. Set it aside as you prepare the other ingredients.
  3. Combine the flour with the melted butter, ensuring it is thoroughly mixed. Next, add the sugar, eggs, and milk, stirring until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the cream-style corn into the butter mixture, followed by the drained whole kernel corn. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture into an 8×8″ baking dish.
